Become a Reassurance Volunteer! CONTACT Reassurance volunteers are special people who wish to be of service to others. Reassurance volunteers remain anonymous and make five to ten minute calls from their homes to check on the well being of a homebound, usually elderly person. A Reassurance volunteer can have a single client to call each day but can be assigned more than one client if they wish. People interested in becoming a Reassurance volunteer participate in a four-hours Reassurance training and agree to attend one in-service each year. The training helps volunteers understand the needs of the elderly, handicapped and/or home-bound persons and ways to meet these needs.
