When you experience the loss of a pet who has played a very special role in your life, it’s natural to have feelings of emptiness, confusion, grief, anger, guilt—sometimes even relief. Not everyone understands what your pet has meant to you and how painful coping with your loss can be.

People who are experiencing grief need compassionate support and the non-judgmental understanding of how heartbreaking coping with this separation can be. Not everyone understands how important your animal friend has been in your life. Let PetFriends support you with compassion and understanding and referrals to specially trained professionals and support services in your community.

PetFriends is partially funded by the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association and the Southern New Jersey Veterinary Association and serves pet owners in the State of New Jersey.

All PetFriends services are provided free of charge.
